This time in our “Guest of” format, we had the pleasure of visiting Dachdecker1kauf in Berlin-Lichterfelde.
Key data: The high in the east
Dachdecker-Einkauf Braunschweig eG was founded in 1964 by 17 self-employed master roofers in Braunschweig. The first company headquarters were in Borsigstraße in Braunschweig. The aim was to bring the cooperative concept to life for the roofing trade and to free themselves from economic dependence on suppliers (private building material and roofing specialist dealers and manufacturers) in the region. Pooling similar requirements, negotiating good prices and achieving an economic advantage for the cooperative members were the missions of the young cooperative. They still apply today.
