Thermowood is the ecological alternative to tropical hardwoods. Domestic woods such as pine or ash are subjected to a process without chemical additives, which changes the cell structures in high heat and humidity in such a way that the water absorption capacity is greatly reduced. This makes the planks less susceptible to wood-damaging fungal or insect infestation, gives them a similar durability to tropical wood and greatly reduces swelling and shrinkage.

Our Thermo Ash decking boards in a smooth or brushed finish impress not only with their durability but also with their natural and pleasant feel. Untreated ash boards can be given a modern look after greying or, if desired, can be treated regularly with decking oil for a long-lasting warm and rich color.
