Tempelhof Airport Berlin

Formerly the most modern airport of its time, today a historical landmark and in future a place of encounter and exchange. A 360° viewing platform has been created high above the former airfield, offering a panoramic view of
Berlin.

The Kebony Clear decking was chosen following the successful tender by the Swiss architectural firm :mlzd, while the challenging construction of the ramps, steps and transitions was in the hands of the engineers. Special requirements for wind load, fire protection and pressure load as well as the material mix of planks and boards were developed and solved in close cooperation with the responsible parties.
